Maximal fashion is depth in a few lanes, not endless novelty. Less vs More treats a richer wardrobe as enrichment when you wear it, care for it, and know when to stop. It is not a closet that doubles as a museum of unworn identities.
Choose lanes, then go deep
Pick a short list of places to enrich: work tailoring, evening texture, outdoor performance, creative color. Depth in two lanes beats shallow More in twelve. Protect focus. A maximal wardrobe still needs a weekday default so mornings do not become a runway audition.
Confirm Less already covered enough. If you never ran an honest capsule, start there. More fashion is a promotion for domains that felt underfed, not a cure for boredom shopping. Write what enrichment means in one sentence before you open a new tab.
Quality, care, and rotation
Invest where touch and fit matter: shoes you walk in, coats you live in, pieces that photograph poorly but feel right on your body. Learn care for the fabrics you own. A richer closet without a laundry and repair path becomes expensive clutter.
Rotate seasonally with intention. Store off-season clothes so daily rails stay readable. Inventory notes stop duplicate buys. If something sat untouched for a season, park it or release it. More stays sharp when dead weight leaves.
Budget the hidden costs
Price alterations, cleaning, storage, and decision time. Enrichment that burns evenings in front of a mirror is overload. Cap novelty with a hard stop: one experimental piece per month, or a set spend for the season. Limits keep More from becoming clutter with better branding.
Prefer skill when it claims the same joy as stuff: a tailor visit, a styling session with what you own, practice walking in the shoes you already bought. Gear only after the practice is real. Photograph successful outfits so depth becomes a reusable library, not a fog of options.
When fashion More is done
